Nodle, the world’s first digital trust network, has unveiled the launch of its Click Camera app for Android, marking a huge stride in content authenticity verification for content creators worldwide. With the advent of Click’s ContentSign technology, powered by the Nodle Network, Android users are now equipped with the capability to generate genuine content at no cost.
The launch of Click for Android follows Click’s introduction on iOS and web platforms in December, and establishes the app as a fully cross-platform solution. This expansion gives Android’s global userbase of over three billion access to the Click mobile app and enables them to authenticate their photos and videos. Click’s utility extends to a diverse spectrum of use cases, ranging from photographers and citizen journalists to law enforcement and content creators. Click is building trust and fighting misinformation, connecting users worldwide in an authenticated network.
Available globally in English now, Click for Android supports all Android versions from Android 8.0 (Oreo) to Android 14.0 (Upside Down Cake). This ensures accessibility to approximately 90% of Android’s global userbase, with plans for additional language and localization support in the coming months.
Click works in 3 simple steps:
(1) Click — to capture content (photos and videos) using the Click camera. Captured content is automatically C2PA certified.
(2) Swipe — to sign and record a proof of authenticity on the blockchain. Signed content is made public and available on a unique URL.
(3) Share — to publish with creator attribution (date, time and location details). The URL with signed content can be shared anywhere, on any messenger, website, blog or social platform.
At the heart of Click’s offering lies ContentSign, its proprietary technology, which facilitates the authentication of photos and videos. ContentSign enables users to effortlessly capture and share authenticated content with specific time stamp, device and location verification. This is all powered by Nodle’s digital trust network, which provides immutable proof of authenticity. Content endowed with verifiable metadata can seamlessly undergo verification via Click’s public website, mobile apps, and the “Verify” page of Content Credentials.
Click actively supports the Coalition for Content Provenance and Authenticity (C2PA), which addresses the prevalence of misleading information online through the development of open technical standards for certifying the source and history (or provenance) of media content. C2PA is a Joint Development Foundation project formed through an alliance of companies, including Adobe, Arm, Intel, Microsoft and Truepic. Click is also a member of the Adobe-led Content Authenticity Initiative (CAI), which focuses on systems providing context and history for digital media, and Project Origin, a Microsoft- and BBC-led initiative that tackles disinformation in the digital news ecosystem.
