Nodle Selected by 5G Open Innovation Lab to Help Drive Early Adoption and Innovation of 5G Technology
Nodle brings a novel economic model to the deployment of 5G and other IoT networks that provides new revenues for telcos and their partners
San Francisco, CA, September 24, 2020 — IoT connectivity and security startup Nodle.io announced today that it has been selected as a member of the 5G Open Innovation Lab, a global ecosystem of developers, start-ups, enterprises, academia and government institutions, focused on helping start-ups utilize 5G to develop new capabilities, use cases and market categories. Nodle will work closely with the Lab’s founding partners including Intel, T-Mobile, Dell, Amdocs, Microsoft, VMware, and other technology partners, to complement their 5G deployments and extend their capabilities.
“We are excited to join the 5G OI Lab to partner with world class brands and empower their IoT ecosystems with the Nodle Network and networking stack,” said Micha Benoliel, CEO and Co-Founder of Nodle. “Today, Nodle has more than 20 million smartphones participating in its crowdsourced connectivity network. We enable millions of Bluetooth-enabled ‘Things’ to connect or to be easily located in more than 100 countries.”
Unique to the Lab’s approach is its focus on unifying an independent ecosystem by bringing together technology, financial and community partners and forward-thinking customers from industries such as media and entertainment, transportation, oil and gas, manufacturing, and retail.
Nodle aims to solve major issues around the high cost of deployment of 5G networks and connected devices, along with the myriad of security challenges posed by connecting billions of things to the Internet.
In places where return on investment would delay or prevent the deployment of 5G infrastructure, enterprises and individuals could be directly incentivized with revenues for participating in the deployment.
In addition, Nodle introduces their COVID-19 preventive solution offering to help enterprises reopen with confidence. The Coalition Enterprise Suite includes an award-winning, high accuracy social distancing wearable device, the Nodle M1, developed in partnership with Avnet, a privacy-preserving exposure notification app, Coalition App, and a rapid response contact tracing dashboard that helps companies better protect their people and mitigate the risks of devastating workplace outbreaks.
“The 5G OI Lab is an extraordinary opportunity for developers to work directly with technology and business leaders to design and bring to life their vision and dreams for new 5G applications,” said Jim Brisimitzis, managing partner of the 5G OI Lab. “This is not just any startup program. We are building a true partner ecosystem that will bring knowledge, resources and capital together to change the world in profound ways.”
